Skeet

From mid-late summer through mid-October each year, we hold weekly skeet shoots. These shoots are held on our skeet field on Tuesday afternoons starting at 4pm. We shoot until dark. In the event of bad weather we cancel the shoot. This shoot is open to the public - everyone is welcome to attend.

Our shoots are not official record-keeping matches, they are fun shoots. Shooters should provide their own shotgun, shells plus hearing and eye protection. You can shoot what you have, but we recommend using at least a 20 gauge using shells made for sporting clays. We also recommend using a pouch, shutgun vest, or wearing something with pockets large enough to hold the necessary amount of shot shells (25 per round).

Although this is just for fun, we do follow standard Skeet rules. We do allow some leeway for less experienced shooters of course. The cost is $3 per round and we hold as many rounds as we can fit in until darkness or weather takes over.

Those of you enjoy a real challenge will love skeet shooting. Bring your shotgun and your shells and pit your ability against two throwers from different directions! Its addicting and loads of fun!

Important Access, Safety & Parking Information
Access to our Skeet shoots is via the main club driveway entrance. Park your vehicles in the parking area next to our pavilion, or, along the road past the pavilion. We use the skeet houses (one high, one low) on the left side of the road. DO NOT park on the skeet field or past the checkpoint that is immediately next to it.

Before coming, be sure to check the club calendar and Facebook to be advised of any changes. Please also be sure to familiarize yourself with our club club safety rules.
