Skeet

From summer through mid-October each year, we hold weekly skeet shoots. These shoots are held on our skeet field on Wednesday afternoons starting at 5pm. We shoot until dark. In the event of bad weather we cancel the shoot. This shoot is open to the public (non-members will be escorted by club members).

Our shoots are not official record-keeping matches, they are fun shoots. Shooters should provide their own shotgun, shells plus hearing and eye protection. You can shoot what you have, but we recommend using at least a 20 gauge using shells made for sporting clays. We also recommend using a pouch, shotgun vest, or wearing something with pockets large enough to hold the necessary amount of shot shells (25 per round).

Although this is just for fun, we do follow standard Skeet rules. We do allow some leeway for less experienced shooters of course. The cost is $4 per round and we hold as many rounds as we can fit in until darkness or weather takes over.

Those of you enjoy a real challenge will love skeet shooting. Bring your shotgun and your shells and pit your ability against two throwers from different directions! Its addicting and loads of fun!

Trap

Our Trap shoots are held concurrently with our Skeet shoots each summer through mid-October each year. These shoots are held on our Trap field on Tuesday afternoons from 5pm until done/dark. Naturally, things like attendance or bad weather also affect if and or how long we shoot.  This shoot is open to the public (non-members will be escorted by club members).

We hold fun shoots which are not official record-keeping matches. Shooters are responsible for providing their own shotgun, shells plus hearing and eye protection. We provide the clays. You can shoot what you have, but we recommend using 12 gauge using shells made for sporting clays. We also recommend using a pouch, shotgun vest, or wearing something with pockets large enough to hold the necessary amount of shot shells (25 per round).

Although this is just for fun, we do follow standard ATA Trap Shooting Rules. We do allow some leeway for less experienced shooters of course. The cost is $5 per round and we hold as many rounds as we can fit in until darkness or weather takes over.

Trap shooting is challenging but a great deal of fun. Its quite popular as a result. Come on out and join us!
